The history
For almost 20 years, this place has grown from a 35 acres (140,000 square meter) rice field in Ometepe Island to a lush botanical garden with soil regeneration using permaculture principles. With more than 5,000 trees and 125,000 ornamental plants planted and maintained daily by a team of workers who know the land. Thus, over the years, the soil regenerates naturally through the contribution of organic matter and the biodiversity. 8 km of pathways have been developed giving access to more than 700 meters of lakefront including a dock adjacent to a viewpoint giving a plunging view of the lake, the isthmus joining the 2 volcanoes with a striking panoramic angle, perfect for sunrise and sunset.
The vision
Finca Feliz wants to pass the torch so that this colossal work continues with a sustainability that will ensure the destiny of the place, among other things to attract insects, birds and continuously improve the return of fauna and flora. Thus, by designating spaces as lots for sale, future residents will have the chance to create their own living space and sculpt it to their fantasies. Finally, to affirm their presence in the world in a responsible manner in this environment full of serenity and peace far from the hustle and bustle of tourism.
The goal
Creating a friendly neighborhood in the heart of an already established and mature botanical garden, allows to give a real and tangible vocation to this still accessible oasis, to make it a harmonious place to live and to answer a need for a comfortable, pleasant, peaceful habitat where the owners are in full possession of their personal choices within a healthy and safe environment.
